Fatima Razzaq is a community investment manager for a home loan bank, in Boston, Massachusetts. Both of her parents are American Palestinians, but grew up in Palestine. Fatima always knew she wanted to be an architect, due to her love for design. She is currently working in the scope of affordable housing development, which she says “just sort of fell on her lap”. She has a master’s degree in sustainable design, and is really interested in solar energy design and solutions. Fatima has expressed interest in mentoring Palestinian startups whose missions are built upon the notion of protecting the environment through the promotion of solar energy projects. Fatima is also deeply integrated within the Palestinian community in the Boston area, due to her participation in the Palestinian film festival, which she has been volunteering with for some time now. She has mentioned that she would love to help MENACatalyst expand its network by connecting it with the Palestinian community in the Boston area.
